An extremely strong traffic spike was detected across the Las Vegas Valley at 1:24 PM PDT on March 12, one of the strongest signals in the dataset. The timing coincides with Red Flag 26-2, the large-scale combat training exercise held at Nellis Air Force Base and the Nevada Test and Training Range. Red Flag 26-2 follows the same mid-March schedule as the previous two years (Red Flag 25-2 ran March 10–21, 2025). Nellis routinely warns Las Vegas residents to expect sonic booms during Red Flag exercises, when fighter jets including F-16s, F-22s, and F-35s conduct supersonic engagements over the NTTR.
