A traffic spike was detected near Vandenberg and Lompoc at 4:52 PM PDT on April 2, inside a SpaceX launch window that opened at 4:03 PM PDT for a Starlink mission from SLC-4E. The attempt was scrubbed due to upper-level wind shear and rescheduled to April 6 (which also scrubbed for winds), so no rocket reached supersonic flight that afternoon. The source remains unclear. Scheduled military aircraft activity or a late-in-countdown abort-related operation are possible explanations.
